Research

One of ILTA's key aims is to raise the profile of research and the dissemination of best practice in enhancing learning with technology across Ireland. We seek to share expertise and promote best practice in this field, and research is one way of doing this. ILTA supports research through:

  • the EdTech Conference
  • its professional development activities
  • sharing information and expertise.
We would really like to encourage newcomers, as well as our existing members, to think about adding your work to the research base about e-learning in Ireland.

One way we can support you in doing this is through our "buddy scheme". At EdTech 2009, we will offer you the opportunity to make a buddy to support you, or whom you can support, with research.
Further details of the scheme will be announced at the conference, and buddies will be encouraged to have three discussions (whether online or face-to-face) over the next academic year.

The Research Special Interest Group (SIG) co-ordinator is Claire McAvinia.
